OpenClaw Implementation

Make OpenClaw useful in the flow of your work.

Bring a defined AI workflow into the conversations and tools your team already uses. Connect the right channel, configure the access, and start with work people can review before handing over more responsibility.

Where to start

Give the assistant a clear role. Start with one channel, one workflow, and an agreed boundary between what it can do and what still needs your team.

The assistant is useful only to its creator.

The setup makes sense on one machine. Your team needs a clear way to access it, shared expectations, and someone responsible for keeping it working.

A message still starts a manual search.

Someone asks for an update. The answer means checking calendars, files, and business tools before returning to the conversation.

More access has become the default.

Every new task adds another tool or account. Nobody has stepped back to decide who can request actions and what the assistant should be allowed to change.

Where it makes a difference

Meet the work where it starts.

The channel is the entry point. The value comes from a useful task, the right context, and a result your team can check.

Answer internal questions with context.

When it helps

Routine questions in team conversations send someone off to search several tools.

Examples
  • Project status
  • document lookups
  • account preparation
A first workflowIllustrative
  1. 01Receive the question
  2. 02Read permitted context
  3. 03Return the sources

Receive a request from an approved user, find the permitted context, and return an answer with the sources attached.

What to measure

Lookup time, source accuracy, and questions that still need manual research.

What the build covers

An assistant with an operating plan.

The configuration should reflect your business. We agree the channel, identity, tools, and responsibilities before the first workflow reaches the team.

  1. Purpose
    A stable starting point
    Works with
Your runtime, hosting, and model accounts
    First scope
Set up the deployment with agreed account owners and access to its administration.
    As it grows
Test upgrades and document recovery before the team depends on the service.
  2. Purpose
    The right people and conversations
    Works with
Supported messaging channels and approved users
    First scope
Connect one channel and define who may use it and where requests belong.
    As it grows
Review audience and access before adding more channels or teams.
  3. Purpose
    The context behind the reply
    Works with
Approved applications, files, and supported interfaces
    First scope
Connect the minimum tools required for the first task and separate read from action permissions.
    As it grows
Add integrations with explicit ownership, usage limits, and failure handling.
  4. Purpose
    A clear job description
    Works with
Workflow procedures, examples, and approved extensions
    First scope
Review the instructions and extensions needed for the task before enabling them.
    As it grows
Retest changes against the workflow and record who approved them.
  5. Purpose
    Control of delegated work
    Works with
Workflow owners, review steps, and escalation routes
    First scope
Require approval for consequential actions and make the pause path easy to find.
    As it grows
Adjust delegated scope only after testing and a decision by the owner.
  6. Purpose
    A system someone looks after
    Works with
Run history, usage reports, updates, and handover notes
    First scope
Agree who monitors quality, manages costs, and handles failed or uncertain requests.
    As it grows
Keep the configuration documented and review the operating effort as usage grows.
From first workflow to daily use

One channel. One useful workflow.

  1. 01

    Choose the first job

Name the users, the task, and what a useful result must contain. Check whether OpenClaw is the right fit.

  2. 02

    Agree the access

Select the first channel, approved users, and tools. Map the data flow and the actions that need review.

  3. 03

    Configure and connect

Set up the gateway and first workflow. Review working results with your team each week.

  4. 04

    Try real conversations

Test unclear requests, missing context, unauthorized users, and failed tools. Check the route to a person.

  5. 05

Roll out to a defined group

Train the users, introduce approvals, and make support, escalation, and pausing straightforward.

  6. 06

    Review before adding more

Measure useful outcomes and operating effort. Add channels or tasks after the first workflow is working for the team.

Plan the investment

One model. Sized to your speed.

A senior engineering team on a monthly basis, sized to how fast you want to move. Any tier can work through the same roadmap. A smaller team takes more months; a larger team moves more of it forward at once.

Small team

$7k
a month · steady progress
Timeline

An agreed first release, then weekly progress

Best for

Work through the roadmap in priority order at a steady monthly budget.

Included
  • An agreed first release and a prioritized roadmap
  • Weekly working-software reviews
  • Integrations and workflow-specific evaluations
  • Team training and a controlled rollout
  • Hosting, monitoring, backups, and security updates while we work together
  • Code owned by you from the first commit

Growing

$13k
a month · more work moving at once
Timeline

An agreed first release, then weekly progress

Best for

Add capacity to move the build, integrations, and rollout forward together.

Included
  • An agreed first release and a prioritized roadmap
  • Weekly working-software reviews
  • Integrations and workflow-specific evaluations
  • Team training and a controlled rollout
  • Hosting, monitoring, backups, and security updates while we work together
  • Code owned by you from the first commit

Scale

$18k+
a month · faster delivery in parallel
Timeline

An agreed first release, then weekly progress

Best for

Bring more capacity to a tighter timeline or several connected workstreams.

Included
  • An agreed first release and a prioritized roadmap
  • Weekly working-software reviews
  • Integrations and workflow-specific evaluations
  • Team training and a controlled rollout
  • Hosting, monitoring, backups, and security updates while we work together
  • Code owned by you from the first commit

Three-month minimum, thirty days' notice. You own the code from the first commit. Model usage and third-party tool fees are separate. We estimate these against the workflow and agree budgets before rollout.

Ownership & ongoing operation

A system you can keep building on.

Your code and your AI workflows

You own the repository, prompts, and workflow-specific tests we build for you. We document how the system works so another team can maintain it.

Clear control of the accounts

Agree who owns each model, cloud, and integration account. Keep usage, credentials, and access responsibilities visible to your business.

Support after the rollout

Hosting, monitoring, backups, and security updates are included while we work together. Agree who reviews exceptions and how support continues after handover.

Data access with clear boundaries

Define what the system can read and change, what it logs, and how long records are kept. Review provider terms and specialist requirements before using sensitive information.

  • OpenClaw is an open-source, self-hosted gateway for connecting messaging channels to an AI assistant with tools and context. We configure the current release around your users, workflow, and operating requirements.

  • No. We provide independent implementation services. We help assess the fit, configure the deployment, connect the required tools, and support the resulting workflow.

  • OpenClaw documents multiple channel integrations. We confirm support for your chosen channel, the installed version, and any required plugins before agreeing the scope. We start with one audience and channel, then expand after testing.

  • We assess the specific extension, its source, access needs, and maintenance before enabling it. Marketplace availability alone does not establish that an extension is appropriate for your business data or workflow.

  • The gateway can run in your environment, but model providers and connected tools may still receive data. We map which information goes where and agree permissions, account settings, and retention requirements.

  • Engineering retainers start at $7k per month, with $13k and $18k+ options for more delivery capacity. The tier sets the pace through an agreed roadmap. There is a three-month minimum and thirty days’ notice. Model usage and third-party service fees are separate.

  • We target a useful first workflow in 3–4 weeks once scope, access, and data are ready. We review working software each week. The time to wider rollout depends on integrations, testing, and the people who will use it.

  • You own the custom code, prompts, and workflow-specific tests we create for you. Your accounts and access responsibilities are agreed up front. Third-party platforms and open-source frameworks retain their own licenses.
